Paksh and tithis astrology
As per Indian astrology, Month is divided into 2 paksha and there are 15 days in each paksh. In every paksh there are 15 tithis. 

The 2 paksha in a montha are following:

1. Shukla Paksh- From the next day of no moon night to the full moon night.

2. Krishna Paksh - From the next day of full moon night to the no moon night.

Now Let's Know About The Tithis In Every Paksh:

Pratipada, It is also called ekam.
Dwitiya, it is also called Dooj.
Tritiya, it is also called teej.
Chaturthi, it is also called chaturthi.
Panchmi
Shashthi, it is also called Chat.
Saptmi
Ashtmi
Navmi
Dushmi
Ekadashi, it is also called gyaras.
Dwadashi, it is also called baras.
Trayodashi, it is also called teras.
Chaturdashi, it is also called chaudas.
Poornima/ Amavasya

Brahma is the master of Dwitiya tithi
Gowri is the master of Tritiya tithi.
Ganesh is the master of Chaturthi tithi.
Shesha Naga is the master of Panchmi tithi.
Kartikey is the master of Shashthi tithi.
Surya is the master of Saptmi tithi.
Shiva is the master of Ashtmi tithi.
Goddess durga is the master of Navmi tithi.
Kaall is the controller of Dushmi tithi.

God vishnu is the controller of Dwadashi.
Kaam is the master of Trayodashi tithi.

Chandrama Or Moon is the controller of Poornima/Full Moon Night.
Pitra/Ancestors are master of Amavasya/No Moon Night.
