As per Hindu Religion the Chaturdashi of kartik month is very-very auspicious. This day is also called narak chaudas when people do special cleaning of home, shop early in the morning so as to welcome prosperity next day.

But this day is also very important because LORD HANUMANJI birth took place on this day so this day is also celebrated as HANUMAN JAYANTI.

Important Thing About Hanuman Jayanti:

Actually hanuman jayanti is celebrated 2 times in a year. First is on Chaitra month Poornima and 2nd is on Kartik chaturdashi krishna paksh just one day before deepawali. It is believed that in the mid night of krishn paksh chaturdashi mother Anjana had given birth to this great divine personality.

So on this day devotees of hanumanji keep fast, chant spells of hanumanji, recite hanuman chalisa, perform different types of rituals to get blessings of this divine power.

In the hanuman chlisa it is clearly given that who ever worship hanumanji will never come in contact with ghost and evil energies. He is the destroyer of negative energies. On the auspicious day of 'HANUMAN JAYANTI' it is good to getup early in the morning and after getting fresh do worship hanumanji properly and offer chola of chameli oil and sindoor and then to offer bhog of choorma, laddu, tulsi leaf, yagyo pavit, betel, coconut with dakshina etc.

It is also good to recite Hanuman ashtak with Hanuman chalisa.
