Steps To Perform Pooja Of Shivlingam:

  1. First of one Fine shivling is needed. As per the requirement different types of shivlings are available in market. If you want good result then I recommend you to use parad shivingam or mercury shivling. Read about BENEFITS OF PARAD SHIVLING.
  2. Now make a place to install it.
  3. First of all do the abhishek of lord shiva with panchamrit and sacred water.
  4. For this place the shivling on a plate or bowl.
  5. Do offer Milk, ghee, curd, honey, sugar and then also do the abhishek with holy water.
  6. Now make panchamrit by mixing all the 5 things and also do abhishek with panchamrit.
  7. Again pour fresh water on shivling.
  8. Now spread a red cloth on a a dry place and then put the shivling on it. 
  9. Offer flowers of aak, Dhatura, bel patra etc. 
  10. Offer Dhoop and deepak.
  11. Offer bhoga to Shivlingam like sweets, different types of food items etc.
