According to the Hindu calendar, Hartalika Teej falls on the third day of Bhadrapada Shukla Paksha. In the year 2023, Hartalika Teej will be celebrated on 18th of September Monday. On this day, women observe a Nirjala fast i.e. fast without drinking water, for the long life of their husbands, their happy life and health.
According to the Panchang, Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha will start at 11:11 AM On 17th Sunday and will remain till 12:40 PM on 18th Of September Monday.
So as per Rising Tithi i.e. उदय तिथि Hartalika teej will be celebrated on 18th monday.

The fast which is done on this auspicious day is very tough, generally this is a fast without water and thus need patience and stamina. The women and girls who do this pooja are really very great. Whole the night ladies and girls spend in chanting the mantra and stories of lord shiva and parwati. Also in regular interval special pooja is done whole the night. Husbands also assist there beloved in preparation of this pooja.

Process Of Teej Pooja:
Goddess parwati who did the great pooja for the years only to marry lord shiva and thus made her self an ideal for the girls and women who want to fulfil wishes in this evanescent world. So goddess parvati has shown that by doing rituals and austerity devotedly, every thing is possible.
And so the devotees are trying to perform austerity for one day and pray to fulfil there wish.
As the whole night women and girls do this pooja so females gather in any temple nearby the area or in some places in any hall arrangements are done to perform this pooja in group where in regular interval pooja is done whole the night and story of teej i.e. katha is narrated by any devotee or brahmin. A deepak is offered for whole night.
Fruits, flowers and different bhog are offered to get the blessing of god and goddess.
Another important thing of this pooja is that shivling is made by clay or rati for this pious pooja and in the morning whole he pujan item is offered in holy river.
