We have generally read about lord shiva, vishnu, brhma, maa durga but very few of us know about chitragupt bhagwan. In many places of vedas and puran(holy vedic scriptures) there is a description of lord chitragupt and it is also said that it is good to take the blessings of lord chitragupt for successful life.
Now the question is that who is this chitragupt?, what is the importance of worshiping chitragupt?

So here I am going to give some important information related to chitragupt bhagwan. Chitragupt is not a simple power or a common power but as per the knowledge he is aid to be the incarnation of lord vishnu.

Chitragupt is an immortal god and is also known as the justice. He has the record of every living being deeds i.e. he keep the records of every human beings karma as per our scriptures. He is able to provide all the luxuries in life. He gives power and age to live a long life without hurdle.

Chitragupt god is also able to dominate our anger, greediness, unwanted desires, internal and external enemies etc. therefore his worship is very necessary. He nurture us and also protect us from every types of evils.

Chitragupt is also known as dharmraj i.e. the person who protects the Dharma.

There is a special mantra or spell which is used to worship shree chitragupt and i.e.

Om Namah Chitraguptaay shaantaay, sarwa rog vinashine |
aayuh, arogym, aishwaryam dehi, dewam jagatpate ||

• Chitraguptji actually worshiped by "KAYSTHA" society but he is not bounded in any caste, religion or any thing. If any one want peace then it is suggested to worship god chitragupt.
• There are very few temple of chitragupt in world and one of the best and world famous temple is in the city of mahakal i.e. in Ujjaain, Madhya Pradesh. Here regular pooja is done and on special occasion mahapooja is done by devotees.
• It is said that after death every one has to face chitragupt god to know the whole life deeds and after that chitragupt decide where to send the soul in hell or in heaven. So every person must worship him so that to make the life wonderful and hurdle free.
