1. Navratris are good to start laxmi saadhna, there are 4 navratris come in year 2 are known and 2 are Gupt navratris. 
2. There are 10 tithis as per hindu panchang which are good to start laxmi saadhna, these are - dwitiya, tritiya, chaturthi, panchmi, shashthi, saptmi, ashtmi, navmi, dushmi, trayodashi. 
3. The important days to start laxmi saadhna are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Among these days, Friday is prefferable. 
4. As per hindu belief Vaishakh and Ashwin month is said to be good to start laxmi saadhna. 
5. There are some nakshatra which are good to start laxmi saadhna and these are Hastha, Poorwafalguni, Punarwasu and Pushya. 
6. Regarding place to perform laxmi saadhna, Sacred and quiet place at home, any temple, bank of river, cave, or any place where any saint has performed spiritual practices are said to be good places to perform laxmi saadhna. 
7. It is also necessary to use ASAN to perform laxmi saadhna like woolen asan of red color, yellow color etc. Kushasan is also good.
8. Mala is also an important part of laxmi saadhna and for this we can use Moonga mala/Coral garland, chandan garland, rudraksh garland. 
9. Direction for laxmi saadhna is West.
