The starting of new year 2019 is very good because as per hindu panchang Ekadashi is falling on Ist January which is associated with Lord Vishnu who take care of whole universe. So we can welcome new year with the blessings of god vasudev.
On the other hand we will see Shani amavasya on the first week of new year which is good for pitru dosha shanti and shani shanti pooja.
From the hindu religious point of view No moon night is very auspicious because tantric prayers are done on this day and night, remedies of black magic is done on this night, prayers to please divine energies are also done on amavas, special rituals are possible for the peace and salvation of ancestors.
No Moon night on Saturday and in the first week of new year is BOON for those who are passing through shani sade sati and shani dhaiya. They can perform prayers at the beginning of new year and make there whole year hurdle-free.
The 5th of January is very special for those people who are suffering because of planet Saturn anyhow.
